While the road closures coming out of Beccles have been an inconvenience for weeks it looks likely they will continue through this weekend – BUT we’re open regardless! Due to lower than the average number of ‘passerby’ visitors all our stallholders would be extra grateful if you made an effort to come out and support your local farmers and producers!

Lastly, we would like to wish a MASSIVE Happy Birthday to our beloved Market Organiser who had her birthday on Thursday. Margarett co-founded Beccles Farmers Market with her Husband Tony over 18 years ago – and without her none of this would be possible so a huge heartfelt thanks from all those involved!
Tomorrow Beccles Farmers Market (at Ellough Airfield) will be open from 9am with over 25 stalls bringing you a vast selection of high quality local produce and tasty goods direct from farmers and artisans who all live within a 35mile radius!
We’re expecting stalls with everything from grass-fed local meats (pork, lamb, beef, chicken), through to seasonal fruit and veg, chocolate, apple juice, marmalades, pickles and chutneys and other artisan stallholders. (Oh – and don’t forget our cafe with BBQ and tasty cakes to tempt your tastebuds)
Along with our staple range of products, we’re delighted to welcome various new stalls such as TabbouleTal with her delicious middle eastern flavours and Simons Marmalades who will now be joining us at the second market of every month – to compliment Seasons Bounty who attends the market on the 1st Saturday of every month.
Lastly, we hope many of you made it down to support the producers at Beccles Food and Drink Festival 2018 a few weeks back! We (Margarett & Chloe) had a fantastic day helping out on the information stand and hope that locals might have been inspired to pop down and support their local producers all year round too!
Tomorrow we are cooking up a storm for Great British Beef Week!
We have a variety of tasters, recipe sheets and even a cooking demonstration for you to explore. All this on top of a wide selection of local tasty treats brought to you direct from the farmers and artisans that produce, create or grow them.
“Our 100% grass-fed beef is produced on a small scale and hung for a minimum of 21 days, this produces more flavoursome and tender cuts of meat. Beccles Farmers Market is our exclusive outlet where you can purchase our beef – we hope to see you there!” – Margarett from Hundred River Beef
